Delivery Driver Detained in Nancy Guthrie Case Speaks Out, Addresses Ongoing Speculation

A delivery driver briefly questioned by authorities in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has been released without charges, as investigators continue their search. The case, which has drawn national attention, entered its second week as law enforcement agencies pursue new leads surrounding the disappearance.

The driver, identified as 36-year-old Carlos Palazuelos, was reportedly detained for several hours while officers followed up on information related to delivery activity in the area. After questioning, he was released, and officials confirmed no charges were filed. Speaking outside his Arizona home, Palazuelos stated he was surprised by the situation and said he had no knowledge of the case prior to being contacted by authorities.

DoorDash, the delivery company Palazuelos works with, released a statement expressing sympathy for the family and confirming it is cooperating with investigators. Palazuelos later explained that he may have made a delivery near the residence around the time Nancy Guthrie was last seen but emphasized that he had no involvement in the disappearance and hopes investigators identify whoever is responsible.

Meanwhile, federal authorities continue to review evidence, including recently released images showing an individual near the home’s doorbell camera on the day Nancy Guthrie went missing. Officials say the investigation remains active, urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement as efforts continue to bring clarity to the case.
