A group of friends were relaxing on the beach when a dog suddenly ran up to them and started barking loudly. Then one of the women turned pale after taking a closer look at the dog’s fur

Five women, longtime friends, were comfortably settled on wide blankets beneath the gentle warmth of a summer afternoon. They were enjoying a well-deserved break — joking, sharing the latest news, and sometimes falling silent as they stared out at the horizon.

Nearby, a basket filled with homemade treats sat on the sand — cookies, fruit, and cold drinks. The women laughed and enjoyed themselves.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a dog ran toward them — a medium-sized mixed breed with wary eyes and scruffy fur. It started circling the group, barking loudly and wagging its tail, but there was something uneasy in its movements.

“Look how funny it is!” one of the women laughed, offering the dog a piece of cookie.

“It’s probably hungry,” another added, tossing it another treat.

But the dog didn’t even glance at the food. It kept running in circles, rushing from one woman to another, barking louder and louder. The friends froze for a moment, sensing that something was wrong.

Then one of the women — the most observant of them all — suddenly turned pale.

“Girls… look at its fur!”

She pointed with a trembling hand at the dog’s side. Between the patches of reddish fur, dark drops could be seen — blood.

At first the women exchanged doubtful glances, then leaned closer. Indeed, there were fresh bloodstains on the dog’s paws and side.

“Oh my God… is it injured?” one of the friends asked in fear.

But the dog didn’t seem hurt — it wasn’t limping, whining, or showing signs of pain. Instead, it suddenly dashed away toward a rocky cape.

The women looked at each other in confusion and decided to follow it. Quickly getting up from their blankets, they hurried across the hot sand, barely keeping up with the dog’s быстрые jumps.

As they got closer, their hearts tightened. On the shallow shore, right on the wet sand, lay an unconscious man. Beneath his head was a dark pool of blood, and beside him glistened a wet rock — he had most likely slipped and hit his head.

The dog rushed to him, sniffed him, and barked again, as if demanding help. The women exchanged anxious glances, then one of them pulled out her phone and called emergency services, explaining the situation with trembling fingers.

“Is he breathing?” one of the friends asked, dropping to her knees.

“Barely…” another replied softly, placing her hand on the injured man’s chest.

The women tried to keep the man conscious, comforted the dog, and waited for the ambulance to arrive.

Each of them had the same thought running through her mind: if it hadn’t been for this loyal dog, they would never have known that just a few steps away from their cheerful beach outing, a tragedy was unfolding.

A few minutes later, the sound of an ambulance siren cut through the summer air. The man was carefully lifted onto a stretcher. The women let out heavy sighs as they watched the paramedics bandage his wounds.

And the dog, finally, allowed itself to calm down a little. It walked up to one of the women and let her pet it, as if thanking them for helping.
