The room erupted in mockery when I claimed to know the comatose, four-star general dying in the ICU. The staff dismissed me as a desperate, attention-seeking nurse—right up until he regained consciousness, weakly raised his hand, and saluted me before the very people who had just ridiculed me. What they didn’t realize was the deep secret we shared, or the fact that his survival rested entirely in my hands.

Clara Hayes is finally respected after saving General Richard Whitmore’s life, but the mystery surrounding his past is only beginning. General Whitmore reveals that a stolen music box, a secret packet, and a classified mission called Saint Lorne are connected to hidden evidence. Major Leena Ortiz arrives and discovers that her brother, Elias Voss, who was believed to have died during the mission, may actually have survived.

Clara returns to her apartment and finds that someone has broken in and stolen the music box. However, the intruder leaves behind Elias’s notebook and a letter explaining that the truth was divided into three parts: the music box, the notebook, and a third hidden item. Inside the notebook is a coded song and the number 417926, showing that the music box was only one piece of a much larger secret.

Back at the hospital, General Whitmore finally explains what really happened during Saint Lorne. The mission was not only about rescuing soldiers but also about protecting a secret ledger containing evidence of corruption and illegal activities. He reveals that Grant Keller was present during the mission and helped cover up the truth, while Elias secretly protected the evidence before disappearing.

General Whitmore also reveals that the third piece of evidence may have been left with Dr. Brooks’s father, who treated Elias after the mission. Dr. Brooks is shocked because he never knew his father was involved. Before anyone can investigate further, Clara receives another anonymous message claiming that Dr. Brooks’s mother has been secretly sending letters for the last twelve years.

The group realizes that the conspiracy never truly ended. Although they have uncovered part of the truth, the final piece of evidence is still missing, and someone continues to watch their every move.
